Well i know i should be ashamed to call myself a blogger but i am writing NOW so i hope u'll understand..
so i was just reading the previous blog posts.. yes my intuition was correct i did get selected in CORE.. i was part of the documentation.. unfortunately my camera didnot give me much support as something happened to it and i couldnt take pictures and i voluntarily came out of it... im not regretting as if i were in it i wud hv had to work very very very hard...
and the NSS part yes i did o for a few weeks but then i had gone out of station and my name was not on the list of NSS...lol...
but im having great fun in college... although my coll is as strict as school but it is fun...
we just had our culfest and it was amazing...

HARD CORE with some social service :) :)
There is a student committee in our college called the CORE committee.....and yes it doesnot stand for anything... the core committee looks after all the activities of the college ...u know managing the culfest,college events etc..
its the core of the college....
we went for the auditions where so many people turned up.....
then the cultural proffessor Mr.rajesh iyer came and told us about 3 questions....
1)how will you plan and execute all the student activities...
2)your strenghts..
3)how will you generate funds of 10 lakh rs..?
my mind said,"gulp!!"
yesterday night i had prepared a very lovely speech to impress the judges....all in vain, i thought...
i wrote something on a paper and kept cancelling it...
after sometime i was like........wat the hell yaar....ill say whatever i feel like...
and so after ages my turn came for the audition...
I went in with confidence(so as i want u to believe)....
one ma'am asked me to close the door....but i couldnt....I knew my weak wrists would embarass me some day...
anyway so they asked me my name and phone no...then they told me to tell them a bit about myself...
so this is the whole conversation,
judges:tell us a bit about yourself...
me:I am Ashwini Mohan...im in f.y b.a majoring in economics..
I love to sing,I write ,although i cant say if im very good at it...
infact i've even created a blog on xaviers ..(the judges smile..)
Im really passionate about photography and im the youngest member of the photography club of ahmedabad...
judges:really?
me:(thode garv ke saath)yes...
judges:ok go on..
me:i feel that cultural activities are not about a bunch of individuals winning prizes but its much more...its about participation,group effort,hardwork and having maximum fun...
given a chance we will assure we always put team spirit ahead of individual achievements....
Our seniors have been doing this since ages and now its our turn to keep the xaviers flag flying high...

although all the people who gave the audition said they were going to be selected,as i was going out,i had an intuition that i will be selected..lets see...the results are on monday...
morover today we had the NSS meeting..where they told us how we were going to help the society...how we will bring abt rural development etc etc....
Im going to love it...i hv wanted to do something like this all my life...we have to give our names this saturday....father said we should think about it as its a huge responsibility...
but i say"neki aur puch puch"?? :)

JUNE 26
MY FIRST DAY OF COLLEGE...
8:30 AM
GOT READY AS FAST AS I COULD...
AFTER FORGETTING TO WEAR MY LIPGLOSS I RAN INTO THE LIFT AND WORE MY SHOES THERE SO I COULD SAVE TIME..
I RAN TO MY FRNDS PLACE AND THEN WE TOOK A RIK TO THE COLLEGE...
AS SOON AS WE REACHED THERE (EXACTLY AT 9:00)I HAPPILY SMILED AND WE RAN TOWARDS THE COLLLEGE B.A BUILDING...
THE NOTICE BOARD SAID "THE ORIENTATION FOR F.Y B.A STUDENTS HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO 10:45 AM" GRRRRRR.....
GRINDING MY TEETH I SAT IN ONEOF THE BENCHES OPPOSITE THE BUILDING(SOMEONE TOLD ME THEY R CALLED THE"BAKHDAS")..
AFTER ALMOST DYING OF BOREDOM IT WAS 10:30 AND SO WE WENT UP TO THE SIDDHARTH HALL WHERE THE ORIENTATION WAS TO BE HELD...
ALL AROUND THE HALL I COULD SPOT THE SENIORS FROM THE FRESHERS..
THE SENIORS WERE ALL CONFIDENT AND WALKED AS IF THEY RULED THE PLACE AND ALL THE FRESHERS HAD THAT CONFUSED ,EXCITED ,SCARED EXPRESSION ON THEIR FACES...
WAT MORE COULD YOU EXPECT FROM US?WE JUST CAME RIGHT OUT OF SCHOOL....
AFTER SOME TIME THE ORIENTATION FINALLY STARTED...
THE PRINCIPAL INTRODUCED THE COLLEGE STAFF AND TOLD US ABOUT THE COLLEGE.....

so the merit list came out today...
considering i ticked all the options in cultural activities and sports,i got into st. xaviers..."the" best college in Gujarat..
will pay the fees tomorrow....
